WOMEN IN NEED of CARE
We often say ‘aged’ because the majority of women we care are in leprosy
colonies and are aged and many disabled. At the Community Centre in
Kothavalsa we have a group of women who simply need ‘care’. Two of the
wone were living in the Bus Shelter at the road junction to our Community
Centre. We took some time to convince then that they would be better off at
the Community Centre. We eventually got them to just come and have meals
with us. They saw that they had ‘freedom’ – could have more salt if asked!.
There are also HIV widows with us who simply have only us. They have their
own Aged Home and they also have a ‘Tea Room’.
We don’t sponsor them individually. If you would like to help them – any
amount between £5 to £30 – month or just a ‘one off’ donation would help.
